I'm at a loss on how to get rid of my troll.
I tried IP banning it but then I couldn't post comments either. Apparently we're using the same provider?
I have the comments set to demand an email address but it just puts in non-existant ones.
I've emailed support at my provider to see what they can do but I haven't received a response.
Any ideas?
Posted by Charles at October 27, 2003 10:57 AMIt sounds like something is wrong with your IP banning method. It's very unlikely that you are on the same exact IP address as your troll. Even being on the same service, the posting times from the troll are too close to your own for several of the entries. And if your provider is rolling over addresses fast enough where that's possible, the chance that you are getting the same IP the next time you connect is very small.
Maybe you are banning a range of addresses instead of a single one. Check on the MT web forum for help figuring that out.

Posted by: Susie at October 27, 2003 11:58 AMThat isn't very nice, Susie. Can't we all just get along?
Besides, Sweet Meat won't have to put up with me much longer. >:-]
Posted by: Burger Queen at October 27, 2003 01:41 PMTrolling is one thing. Veiled threats is another. You should realize that your posts can be tracked back to you with the help of your internet provider and they are admissible in court. I advise you to find another source of amusement.
Posted by: Allan at October 27, 2003 02:16 PMAllan, that is so sweet for you to be concerned about me but threats are the furthest thing from my mind. I meant that eventually somebody is going to find out what Chuckie has done and then I'll be the last thing he needs to worry about.
He's a very bad boy.

(Although I doubt Burger Queen is pure as the driven snow either!)
